My name is Heidi Prentice and I know Ayden from Rochester Academy Charter School where we taught math together. I teach 8th grade mathematics. I am also a Graduate student at Brockport, majoring in Adolescent Education in Mathematics. The visual posted above is clear and concise, colorful and easy to read. I like that it gets straight to the point and doesn't use too many words. The one critique I have is that it could maybe use a bit more detail in order to better describe each section. What I learned was that Diversity has a positive impact on the general population.
My name is Emily, I am an animal behavior specialist, and Ayden is my husband. I find this Infograph very helpful. I like that the layout and the colors are not distracting with any unnecessary graphics or flashy colors. I learned that though there are many aspects of diversity, it's important to talk about and understand all of them.
I think this Infograph gets 4s for all categories:
It looks very professional and thematically appropriate.
There is no confusion about the focus of the content, it is very easy to understand.
The colors and the organization of the Infograph, makes it easy to absorb and understand.
The sources are clearly stated and the statements are concise and convincing.
The Infograph is really well written and I did not find any grammatical issues.
I am Molly Roy, AIS Math Teacher for 6-8 grade and Algebra I Teacher for 8th Graders. Ayden and I used to work together at RACS Middle School. Ayden now works at RACS Elementary School so I no longer see him day to day, however we still stay in contact. I am a Brockport Grad Student in my last year of Grad School, my major is Education and Human Development with a focus in Adolescence Mathematics Education.
This visual is very informative. The topic itself is not easy, as there are a lot complexities to understanding other people and accepting each other's differences. This visual makes it very easy to learn about without being to long or wordy.
Theming - 4 (is thematically appropriate and looks professional)
Focus - 4 (The focus is clear and defined, no question of what it's about)
Visual appeal and organization - 4 (well organized, sections are clearly separated, nice to look at - not too wordy)
Persuasion and evidence -4 (all information is persuasive and evidence based)
Grammar and syntax - 4 (well written and professional, no grammatic or syntax-based errors)
I am Christine Birtel, a reading specialist, and this is my fourth year working with Ayden. This visual was very informative. The simple layout and color scheme is very calming and easy to read. I learned how complex the topic of diversity actually is. I agree that fostering diversity can be very difficult, but is also very necessary.
Theming - 4 (simple layout and looks professional)
Focus - 4 (very informative and useful information)
Visual appeal and organization - 4 (well organized, nice color scheme, and easy to read)
Persuasion and evidence - 4 (information seems to be well researched and cited)
Grammar and syntax - 4 (well-written and easy to understand)
Visual appeal and organization - 4 again? (this category has already been rated above - it has been repeated)
